The purpose of this research was to understand the role of the family healthcare manager plays in their families. We interviewed individuals from different family structures and backgrounds to determine a common pattern among healthcare managers.

Interviews and Data Synthesis

Participants during the interview were asked a series of questions regarding their role as a family healthcare manager. We learned about much of their responsibilities, who they care for and how they manage their responsibilities on a day to day basis. Data collected from the interviews were then analyzed to determine common patterns and insights into their lives.

 

Family Structure

Information gathered from the interviews and synthesis revealed an organizational structure to how the health manager responds to challenges with people in their family, hospitals, doctors, pharmacies and medical costs.

 

Persona

Information gathered from the interviews went into the creation of a persona based on the combined traits of each person interviewed.
